Hardscape built
to outlast everything
else on your property.
Built for Minnesota.
Built for your family.
Transform your backyard into the outdoor living space you've always wanted. Built for Minnesota winters, designed for your family.
Our favorite thing to build. Natural stone sourced direct from Minnesota's boulder belt. Holds your grade, looks like it's always been there.
The first thing anyone sees. Makes a statement that asphalt and concrete simply can't — and outlasts both in Minnesota winters.
When you need structure, precision, and engineered holding power. Done right, they hold for decades. Done wrong, they fail in five.
The path from street to door sets the tone for everything else. A well-designed walkway guides, welcomes, and finishes the front of your home.
Turn a grade change into something worth looking at. Functional, beautiful, and — when placed correctly — feel like they've been there forever.
Projects we're
proud of.
Built by two people
who love what
they do.
"We treat every project like we're designing and installing a feature in our own backyard — because that's the only standard we know how to work to."
Heritage Outdoors is Jacob and Haven — a husband and wife team, parents to two kids, and the people behind every project. Jacob leads every install. Haven handles design, estimates, scheduling, and everything behind the scenes.
One of us is there from the very first phone call all the way through final walkthrough. Every single time.
From first call
to final walkthrough.
Haven comes to you. We walk the property, talk through the vision, and ask the questions no one else thinks to ask.
Haven designs the layout. You get a clear, itemized estimate — no surprises, no vague ranges.
We don't start until you're completely comfortable. Questions, changes, adjustments — all handled before a single shovel goes in the ground.
Jacob leads every install personally. Digital level to the hundredth of an inch. Base prep done right. No shortcuts.
Haven walks you through everything — care instructions included. You don't sign off until you're happy. Every single time.
32 five-star reviews.
And counting.
"Spurts of enthusiasm and a deeply delusional can-do attitude resulted in us making the yard much worse than it originally was — which, technically, IS redoing the backyard, so semantically, we achieved great success. Finally, a friend lovingly recommended we hire people who actually knew what they were doing."
"They even proactively worked with the city to make sure everything was fully compliant — something we hadn't even asked them to do. This level of care and integrity built trust with us and speaks volumes to the type of people that they are."

Questions we hear all the time.
How much does a paver patio cost in the Twin Cities?
Paver patios with Heritage Outdoors start at $35 per square foot installed and range into the $50+ range depending on paver brand, pattern complexity, and base preparation. We work with RCP (Rochester Concrete Products), Unilock, and other manufacturers we stand behind. $5,000 project minimum.
Are pavers better than concrete in Minnesota?
Yes — pavers are generally a better choice in Minnesota specifically because of the freeze-thaw climate. Individual pavers flex with ground movement and can be reset or replaced if needed. Poured concrete cracks under freeze-thaw stress and cannot be partially repaired. A properly installed paver patio will outlast poured concrete by decades.
How much does a boulder retaining wall cost in Minnesota?
Boulder walls are our most variable service — pricing typically runs $40–$100+ per square foot depending on stone type, site access, and trucking distance. We source fieldstone boulders direct from Minnesota's boulder belt, which keeps costs competitive. $5,000 project minimum.
