We didn't start Heritage to learn the trade
Heritage Outdoors is Jacob and Haven — a husband and wife team, parents to two kids, and the people behind every single project we take on. Haven started a lawn and snow company in Saint Paul while Jacob was honing his craft working at his uncle's landscape company. When lawn clients started asking about patios and retaining walls, we took on those projects ourselves — and quickly realized hardscape and landscape installs were where our hearts were.
We grew to love working with customers to bring their outdoor space ideas to life. There's something deeply satisfying about transforming a yard — seeing someone walk out to their finished backyard for the first time and realizing it's exactly what they imagined, or better. That feeling never gets old.

We doubled down on the business year after year — investing in the right equipment, the right methods, and the right team. In 2023 we officially launched Heritage Outdoors with a clear and deliberate focus: hardscape and landscape design-build installs, exclusively. No half-measures. No trying to be everything to everyone.
Heritage Outdoors launched in 2023 — but we didn't start this company to learn the trade. Jacob spent years doing hands-on install work and Haven ran her own outdoor services company. By the time Heritage was born, the experience was already there. We started it because we were ready to do it our way.
And what we're most proud of is this: one of us is there from the very first phone call all the way through the final walkthrough — every single time. That's not something most contractors can say.

Jacob leads every install with the precision and care of someone who genuinely loves the craft. With years of hands-on experience in landscape and hardscape work — starting at his uncle's company and refining his skills on hundreds of projects — Jacob brings both technical expertise and an eye for detail that shows in the finished product.
When Jacob is on your jobsite, he's not just managing — he's building. Every boulder placed, every paver set, every grade cut is done with intention.
Haven is the first voice you'll hear when you reach out to Heritage Outdoors — and the one making sure your experience is seamless from that first call to the final walkthrough. She handles design consultations, estimates, scheduling, client communication, and everything behind the scenes that keeps projects running on time and on budget.
Haven started her own outdoor services company before Heritage, which means she understands both what clients need and what it takes to deliver. She asks the questions other contractors don't think to ask.

We didn't pick the name Heritage Outdoors at random. Heritage is exactly what we're building — something lasting, for our family, by our family. A business that Jacob and Haven's kids might one day be proud of. Something that outlasts any single project.
And we bring that same philosophy to every yard we work in. Outdoor spaces built right, built to last, and built to be something you're proud of for years — maybe even decades — to come. That's a Heritage install.
