Kevin had just had a new garage built — which was a big upgrade, but it came with a side effect. The construction dropped the grade of his backyard significantly, leaving a bare, uneven surface alongside the new structure. He knew he wanted a patio, but he also needed enough grass left over for his dog.
On a typical Saint Paul lot, that's a real constraint. After measuring the backyard, Jacob and Haven recommended placing the patio along the side of the garage — tucking it against the structure to maximize open lawn space while still giving Kevin a genuine hardscape destination. Smart layout on a tight lot.
For the patio itself, the Willow Creek Cobblestone 12' circle kit in Chestnut blend was the right call. Circle kits keep cuts minimal and installation efficient — which makes a circle patio genuinely affordable without sacrificing the visual impact. The warm tan, brown, and charcoal tones of Chestnut complement the new garage siding. Connecting walkways in the same material tie the space together. And 700 square feet of fresh sod gave the dog exactly what he needed.
